Since making the first draft of our team values in 2015, we always believed that building a company based on a strong and authentic values lied at the heart of the company we wanted to build. Over the past few years our values have shaped our team culture, have allowed us to hire a passionate and diverse team and in times of disagreements, they have shown us the right answers.
As a mission-driven company, we’re keen to make sure that everyone we work with understands what we believe in. So in July this year, at a pivotal time for Kukua, we felt that it was time to sit back down to update our values. We did this as a team because it is important for everyone at Kukua to feel ownership of the company culture and hence for everyone to contribute to its pulsating heart. We came down to 5 core values which we all feel encapsulate the way we work and represent this company’s ethos.
Our intention is for our values to continue to reflect in our everyday routines, to be infused in our strategy, to be in line with our mission an to exemplify who we are as a team and what we want to achieve. As with everything we do, this document is a constant work-in-progress – one that we’ll be validating with the growing team as we go and updating twice a year.
